Job Description

Overview

As a Medical Science Liaison in Dermatology, you will be part of Incyte’s new chapter in Spain, representing Incyte’s scientific voice in the field. This strategic, relationship-building position is crucial for establishing trust and credibility within the dermatology community and setting the tone for future cross-functional team operations.

You will be based in Barcelona and cover the territory of Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Aragon, and Islas Baleares, with travel up to 65%. Fluency in Spanish and very good English are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build authentic, long-term scientific partnerships with Key External Experts (KEEs), dermatologists, and scientific institutions.
  • Act as the scientific face of Incyte, establishing trust and credibility within the dermatology community.
  • Serve as a bridge between the field and the organization, ensuring expert and patient insights inform medical and commercial strategies.
  • Partner closely with future commercial and market access teams for aligned and impactful market engagement.
  • Facilitate peer-to-peer scientific exchange, providing dermatologists with balanced, data-driven information to support clinical decisions.
  • Support evidence generation and innovation, identifying and enabling investigator-initiated studies (IIS), real-world data projects, and collaborative research.
  • Deliver impactful internal training and field insights, empowering colleagues to engage the medical community confidently.
  • Represent Incyte externally at medical congresses, advisory boards, and expert meetings.

Skills & Experience

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
  • Experience or strong scientific understanding in Dermatology, Immunology, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Prior MSL or Medical Affairs experience in innovative or specialty care companies is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with top-tier experts and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a pioneer’s mindset, comfortable in a fast-evolving, launch-focused environment.
  • Naturally collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, energized by creating connections and driving scientific excellence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
