If so, our Seasonal Professional Development Specialist position may be exactly what you’ve been looking for! As an experienced and successful professional educator, you’ll provide content-specific support, training, and guidance in the implementation of our blended and online learning programs in the K-12 environment. You’ll deliver workshops and sessions to teachers and instructional personnel on how to integrate digital solutions into their curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices, develop and modify student individualized learning paths, design classroom assessments, and run assessment reports. You’ll deliver fee-based, engaging, small and large group presentations.

Position Information
This is a Temporary position working a professional development event onsite in Philadelphia on August 18 and 19, along with approximately 10-12 hours of paid, primarily asynchronous onboarding and training.
Compensation
Base pay is anticipated to be $550 per day on August 18 and 19, along with pre-event training paid at $25/hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
Location
In this US-based position you will work primarily onsite in Philadelphia, PA, with some training completed remotely.

Envision Your Experience
This mission-critical, event-based role provides you with maximum flexibility to supplement your income with short bursts of highly impactful work. This role is best suited for you if you want to earn extra income, particularly over the summer, but don’t require a set minimum earnings level each week or month. This is a per diem, temporary position with travel to school sites for professional development delivery, as needed.
Share Your Expertise
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- A bachelor’s degree (graduate degree preferred) and at least 2 years of experience delivering successful professional development, training, and/ or consulting services (5 or more years preferred).
- Current or past teaching certification and experience teaching Math or ELA in an educational environment is strongly preferred.
- High degree of motivation, with demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, online meeting platform (Zoom, Teams, etc.) and database software.
- Ability to provide a current Fingerprint Clearance Card or provide proof of application within 7 days (upon hire).
- Must be able to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA August 18 and 19, and complete approximately 10-12 hours of onboarding and training prior to the event.
