Position Summary
The Conference and Events Producer at IMA will lead content design and implementation for high-impact conferences within the accounting and finance profession. This role involves curating content, building an exceptional speaker lineup, managing logistics, and ensuring best-in-class experiences onsite. It is a hands-on role that requires excellent research, networking, and organizational skills. The position is remote based.
Key Responsibilities
Speaker Acquisition & Content Curation
Recruit high-caliber speakers and design highly interactive sessions including workshops, masterclasses, and roundtables. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate IMA's key messaging, engage with volunteer committees, and partner with sponsor speakers to align audience needs. Review and edit presentation materials and collaborate with marketing to create compelling conference copy.
Research & Networking
Research industry trends and emerging topics, cultivate relationships with industry thought leaders, and develop partnerships with relevant organizations. Analyze attendee data to identify opportunities for innovative conference experiences and collaborate with IMA Research for actionable insights.
Speaker Management
Manage all communications and logistics with speakers from initial outreach to post-event follow-up, including contracts, travel arrangements, and technical requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinate speaker information on the event website.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with the Director of Conferences and Events, marketing, and sales teams to develop and execute comprehensive strategies that enhance attendee experience and drive engagement.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in conference production and speaker acquisition. Strong research, stakeholder management, and professional communication skills are essential. Experience working with senior leadership and flexibility for travel (20% annual) is required. Knowledge of the accounting and finance markets is a plus.
