Your Role as a Veterinary Technician
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a range of essential veterinary procedures and duties. These include:
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures
- Performing and running various laboratory tests
- Administering treatments and providing comprehensive nursing care
- Dispensing medications accurately
- Taking high-quality X-rays
- Performing IV catheterization
- Monitoring anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Assisting with surgical preparation and post-operative recovery
- Educating clients on pet health and care
- Potentially assisting with pet grooming
While prior experience in these areas is highly valued, Washington Crossing Animal Hospital is dedicated to supporting professional development and would be willing to provide training for the right candidate who demonstrates potential and eagerness to learn.
