Role Overview
The Part-Time Promotions Assistant supports the Promotions & Marketing department by creating engaging live experiences for iHeartMedia’s NYC brands. This role involves face-to-face interactions at various events, assisting with event logistics and technical execution of live broadcasts, and providing general promotional support.
Responsibilities
- Create an exciting atmosphere at community events and concerts.
- Represent NYC brands including WHTZ, WKTU, WLTW, WAXQ, WWPR-FM, WOR-AM, and WWRL.
- Execute events from start to finish including setup, coordination, and breakdown.
- Assist with technical execution for live remote broadcasts and audio production.
- Support contest fulfillment, administrative tasks, and sponsor activations.
- Operate vehicles to transport equipment; maintain a valid driver’s license.
Requirements
- Current college student or recent graduate with interest in marketing, events, or audio production.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and reliable transportation.
- Must be energetic, detail-oriented, and comfortable addressing crowds of 100+ people.
- Ability to work minimum 20 hours per week including weekends, selected weekdays, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with the NYC Metropolitan Area and its logistics.
