Role Overview

The Part-Time Promotions Assistant supports the Promotions & Marketing department by creating engaging live experiences for iHeartMedia’s NYC brands. This role involves face-to-face interactions at various events, assisting with event logistics and technical execution of live broadcasts, and providing general promotional support.

Responsibilities

  • Create an exciting atmosphere at community events and concerts.
  • Represent NYC brands including WHTZ, WKTU, WLTW, WAXQ, WWPR-FM, WOR-AM, and WWRL.
  • Execute events from start to finish including setup, coordination, and breakdown.
  • Assist with technical execution for live remote broadcasts and audio production.
  • Support contest fulfillment, administrative tasks, and sponsor activations.
  • Operate vehicles to transport equipment; maintain a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Current college student or recent graduate with interest in marketing, events, or audio production.
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Must be energetic, detail-oriented, and comfortable addressing crowds of 100+ people.
  • Ability to work minimum 20 hours per week including weekends, selected weekdays, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with the NYC Metropolitan Area and its logistics.
