Function/ Department: Internal Audit
Job Purpose
The Senior Audit Lead – Information Technology plays a critical role in leading internal audits across the bank’s IT and Cyber Security domains. This position demands full ownership of the audit lifecycle—from planning and execution to reporting and stakeholder presentations. The role contributes to enhancing audit efficiency and aligning audit practices with the bank’s strategic objectives and regulatory standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead audit planning and execution for the IT & Cyber Security Audit Unit.
- Deliver audits in accordance with the agreed plan, including ad-hoc assignments.
- Guide and collaborate with the audit delivery team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Identify risks related to in-scope technologies and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of associated controls.
- Draft high-quality audit reports, translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Present dashboards and audit findings to senior management, CXOs, and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussions and drive closure of critical audit observations.
- Maintain strong working relationships with auditee groups and internal audit colleagues.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Streamline audit fieldwork to enhance agility and depth in execution.
- Support digitization of the audit process through data analytics, automation, and continuous auditing in IT environments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and internal developments to assess their impact on internal audit.
- Identify and address skill enhancement needs for technology auditors.
Education Qualification
- Graduation: B.Tech is required
- Post-Graduation: in any discipline
- Professional Degree– CA is preferred
Experience
15 years of relevant experience in IT and Cyber Security audits, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
