Cyber Security Junior Analyst

About the Role

The Cyber Security Junior Analyst role at IDFC FIRST Bank is focused on monitoring SIEM alerts, investigating incidents, and ensuring timely resolution in a 24x7 operational environment. The position is part of the Risk business within the SOC/RISK department in Mumbai.

Roles & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor SIEM alerts on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis including night shifts on a rotational roster.
• Investigate detected alerts and carry out incident response.
• Document and report incidents to concerned Resolver Groups using ticketing tools.
• Monitor network traffic, perform threat hunting to identify compromised systems, and mitigate denial of service attacks.
• Escalate incidents when SLA breach is imminent.
• Monitor the health and performance of SIEM and other security tools.
• Follow the incident response management workflow.
• Collaborate with other SOC analysts to improve tools, processes, and procedures.

Secondary Responsibilities

In addition to the primary tasks, the candidate will be required to deliver additional essential tasks in supporting the SOC operations.

Key Success Metrics

An alert is considered notable when it is raised as an incident for further analysis by a security analyst.
