About the Role
The Associate - Corporate Secretariat role within IDFC FIRST Bank's Legal Department supports critical legal and secretarial functions. This encompasses specialized areas like Contract Management, Product Compliance, Dispute Resolution, Litigation Management, and core Corporate Secretarial activities. The position also contributes to strategic development and the implementation of best practices in legal risk mitigation, corporate secretarial operations, and policy formulation. This role requires interaction with various internal and external stakeholders, playing a key part in achieving IDFC FIRST Bank's broader organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to senior leadership on all legal matters affecting departmental transactions.
- Ensure compliance with financial and legal standards and uphold corporate governance practices.
- Assist in meeting legal obligations during corporate actions such as fundraising, preferential allotments, QIPs, mergers, and listings.
- Ensure legal soundness of new or customized product offerings and compliance with SEBI regulations.
- Support the Company Secretary in timely and accurate reporting of bank procedures and developments.
- Assist the Legal & Secretarial team during Board and Committee meetings.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Recommend process and policy improvements across banking operations to enhance efficiency and customer service quality.
- Stay updated with global legal trends and competitor strategies in key markets.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
- Post Graduation: MBA/PGDM.
- Professional degree: Company Secretary (CS).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
