Role Overview - Cyber Security Analyst
The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring threats, investigating security events, and supporting incident response to protect our systems and data.
Responsibilities
- Improve cybersecurity processes, tools, and response capabilities.
- Support the setup, operation, and optimisation of security tools and controls.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Assist with vulnerability scans, testing, and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to strengthen system security.
- Provide clear insights, recommendations, and reports to improve security posture.
- Contribute to awareness initiatives promoting strong security practices.
- Stay up to date on emerging threats and share insights with the team.
Skills And Experience
- Background in Cybersecurity, IT, or Computer Science.
- Experience in security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Strong grasp of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and cloud security tools.
- Ability to deploy and support security tools and improvements.
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and proactive in skills enhancement.
- Passion for staying ahead of new threats and emerging technologies.
