Clinical Nurse Consultant
ICU Medical is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant responsible for clinical nursing leadership, technology integration, workflow analysis, and education of hospital clinicians. The role involves collaboration with internal and external teams, including Pharmacy, Nursing, IT, Project Management, and Materials Management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead clinical nursing initiatives in collaboration with various teams.
- Integrate ICU Medical infusion devices with EHR vendors.
- Assess and consult on current and future clinical workflows.
- Plan and execute clinician education on infusion device usage.
- Escalate risks and customer issues to project management.
- Provide go-live and post go-live customer facing support.
- Present to diverse audiences in various settings.
- Act as the clinical subject matter expert for customers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Prior leadership role in nursing.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with web-ex meetings is preferred.
- Self-motivated and organized with time-sensitive deadline skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration.
- Analytical skills with knowledge of statistics is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
- Active US RN license required.
- Minimum of 7+ years RN experience in critical care areas.
- Experience with infusion systems, safety software, and EMR is a plus.
- Previous leadership role preferred.
- Familiarity with virtual meetings advantageous.
Additional Information
This position may require travel up to 50% with overnight stays. It operates largely remotely from a home office using standard office equipment. The candidate must be compliant with all credentialing requirements including COVID-19 vaccination.
