About the Role

ICON is seeking a Senior Design-Build Project Manager II to lead Military Construction (MILCON) projects focused on integrating ICON’s proprietary 3D printing technology into mission-critical facilities in Austin, Texas. The role involves managing projects from pre-award planning through final delivery while ensuring strict compliance with federal design documents, contract requirements, and project scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact with military clients and federal stakeholders.
  • Manage full MILCON project lifecycle and ensure compliance with UFC, UFGS, USACE/NAVFAC, and AT/FP standards.
  • Coordinate with ICON design, construction, and print operations teams and external consultants.
  • Develop detailed project schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to contractual milestones and cost controls.
  • Oversee site coordination, safety, quality control, procurement, and subcontracting efforts.
  • Utilize project management platforms for transparency, reporting, and efficiency.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 10+ years of experience managing MILCON/design-build projects, a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, and experience with federal acquisition regulations. Security clearance eligibility and strong communication skills are essential.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, General Contractor License, or PMP certification.
  • Experience with USACE/NAVFAC-administered projects and innovative construction technologies like 3D printing.
