About the Role: IT Intern at ICL Group

ICL Group is seeking an enthusiastic IT Intern to join their team in Heerlen. In this role, you will be the crucial first point of contact for all IT-related services, ensuring seamless operations and delivering an excellent customer experience. This internship provides an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment, where you will be coached, trained, and supervised throughout your journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st Level Support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to initial inquiries via phone, email, or online channels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT problems within defined timeframes, including password resets and standard application support.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support when necessary.
  • Log all activities accurately and maintain ticket documentation.
  • Ensure all helpdesk tickets are addressed and closed according to approved service levels.
  • Deliver desktop support and assist with IT-related queries.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-focused attitude with patience and positivity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good oral English language skills.

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant MBO level 4 program.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products.
