Job Summary
The Assistant Manager Trust Administration is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end administration of the Trust Funds portfolios, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payments, receipts, allocations, reconciliations, and reporting. This role coordinates front-office client interactions, back-office operations, and fund accounting functions while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with trust mandates, along with a high standard of client service.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership: Understand company vision, monitor legal & regulatory frameworks, improve policies and controls, oversee daily operations across Front Office, Back Office, and Fund Accounting, approve key outputs, and manage workload allocation.
Client Service & Relationship Management: Oversee client inquiries, support escalation resolution, maintain communication standards, and promote a client-first culture.
Control, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, review reconciliation reports, support audits, and safeguard client and company assets.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Consolidate and submit reports, track KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement process efficiency improvements.
People Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor team members, foster a collaborative culture, oversee onboarding and training, and lead team briefings.
Occasional & Ad-hoc Duties: Participate in systems development and internal projects as required.
Requirements
Academic and Professional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in fund administration, trust operations, or financial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in accounting systems, payment platforms (SWIFT, EFT, RTGS), advanced MS Excel, understanding of financial operations and reconciliations, and familiarity with client management systems and regulatory frameworks. Training in AML regulations is a plus.
Behavioral & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, client relationship management, and a proven ability to work under pressure.
Leadership & Personal Attributes: Demonstrated leadership, accountability, compliance orientation, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
