Compliance Technology Product Owner

Overview

The Compliance Technology Product Owner at ICBC Standard Bank Plc leads the surveillance technology and legal technology functions, managing both in-house and vendor applications for compliance, financial crime, and legal teams.

What You'll Be Doing

You will manage delivery for the bank's compliance and legal systems, focusing on Market Conduct and AML surveillance. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading teams including project managers, BAs, developers, and QAs.
• Engaging with stakeholders in Compliance and IT to gather requirements.
• Defining application roadmaps and managing dependencies.
• Ensuring high standards across the software development lifecycle.
• Facilitating workshops, interviews, gap analysis, and documentation sessions.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in investment banking, a strong grasp on regulatory controls, and hands-on leadership skills. Essential skills include:

• Experience with Market Abuse or AML surveillance.
• Ability to break complex issues into clear summaries.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in business process definition and software delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
