Your Role And Responsibilities
As part of IBM's software development community, you will work on systems driving IBM Cloud services. Join our team of creators who move IBM forward by envisioning solutions, experimenting with new ideas, and applying ever-growing skills to make better decisions on the most trusted platforms in today’s market.
Specifically, as a Technical Content Professional, you will design, develop, curate, and analyze the technical content that enables digital self-service for clients. This includes creating in-product assistance, documentation, training materials, and support content to help users understand and effectively interact with complex products. Individuals in this role combine analytical problem-solving skills, growing autonomy, and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-quality content solutions that improve customer outcomes and support organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Working alongside architects, developers, and engineers, your work will complement efforts to create reusable, scalable, enterprise systems that enable continuous delivery on-premises and in the cloud. In addition to the above-referenced role specifics, your responsibilities may include a need to:
- Apply analytical thinking to identify patterns, improve workflows, and solve problems with minimal guidance.
- Document and refine existing procedures to simplify team workflows.
- Conduct independent analysis and collaborate with peers to recommend content or process improvements.
- Propose and implement small-scale automation solutions that streamline routine tasks.
- Expand understanding of the client's business, industry, market, and technology landscape.
- Use collaboration and communication technologies, including AI-driven tools with growing proficiency.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Minimally, the incumbent will possess:
- Prior (project or internship) experience in technical content creation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity, transparency, and conciseness.
- Passion for technology and its potential to solve problems.
- Growth-minded, trusted, team-focused, courageous, resourceful, and outcome-focused.
- Foundational analytical thinking skills, including recognizing patterns and trends in data.
- Skill in documenting, simplifying, and refining workflows or procedures.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
The ideal candidate will also have experience with or a working knowledge of:
- Cloud development (pushing code through a CI/CD pipeline).
- Generative AI practical application in a development environment, including prompt engineering.
- Developing expertise in a client's business — industry, market, technology, and user needs.
- Virtualization concepts and cloud operations.
- Creating small-scale automation solutions to improve team efficiency.
