Introduction
IBM is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Sourcing Professional – Technology to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across next-generation technology categories including cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS), enterprise software, and token-based AI services. This role influences IBM’s enterprise technology strategy by optimizing cloud and GenAI platform adoption while strengthening governance, compliance, and innovation.
Your Role And Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership:
- Lead end‑to‑end sourcing for technology providers, emphasizing cloud platforms and token‑based AI services.
- Negotiate complex MSAs, SOWs, licensing agreements, and consumption‑based pricing structures.
- Assess token‑based AI pricing models and develop cost optimization strategies.
- Develop global category strategies with market intelligence and TBM methodologies.
- Ensure AI governance, software risk controls, and compliance standards are met.
- Present insights and negotiation outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Performance & Delivery Excellence:
- Monitor delivery performance, savings targets, SLA adherence, and contract compliance.
- Utilize EPM dashboards and Cognos to track pipeline, savings, and supplier performance.
- Lead procurement transformation initiatives for increased sourcing maturity.
Capability Development & Team Leadership:
- Mentor and coach team members to deepen technical sourcing expertise.
- Drive knowledge-sharing through case studies, best practices, and sourcing templates.
- Operate with accountability and navigate ambiguity confidently.
Preferred Education
Master's Degree.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- 10+ years of technology sourcing or procurement experience, focused on cloud and/or AI services.
- Strong understanding of token‑based AI pricing and consumption models.
- Proven success in negotiating complex technology agreements with major vendors.
- Experience in consulting or procurement outsourcing with reputable service providers.
- Excellent communication, executive presentation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- CAIRPP® or equivalent AI procurement certification.
- Familiarity with TBM methodologies and AI software governance frameworks.
- Experience with martech tools (CRM, CDP, marketing automation) and related software sourcing.
- Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data‑privacy regulations affecting tech sourcing.
