Introduction

IBM is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Security & Compliance Engineer for its Cloud Platform Development team in Budapest. The ideal candidate thrives on solving complex problems through automation and building secure, scalable systems that meet regulatory standards.

Your Role And Responsibilities

You will design and implement automated solutions for security and compliance, integrate these controls into CI/CD pipelines, and optimize recurring tasks with advanced scripting and tooling.

• Design and implement automated solutions for evidence collection and audit readiness.
• Integrate security and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses.
• Lead support on internal and external audits (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
• Maintain and evolve security policies and documentation with an emphasis on automation.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required along with 3+ years of experience in security engineering or compliance automation.

• Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and security integration into development workflows.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of container security (Kubernetes, Docker) and internal tool/dashboard development.
• Familiarity with emerging AI-assisted code generation technologies.
