Your Role And Responsibilities as a Quantum Network / Security Engineer Intern
As an intern, you will play a crucial role in advancing the development of quantum computing systems and the underlying datacenter networking infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Learning new quantum engineering techniques and integrating these principles into work processes for building cutting-edge quantum computers.
- Actively participating in corporate events and executive speaker series, demonstrating effective time management.
- Assisting with network setup, thorough testing, and verification processes.
- Becoming proficient with network monitoring software to gather and analyze data.
- Collecting monitoring data from various hardware components and deriving meaningful trends from the collected data.
Preferred Education
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred for this internship.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge and practical experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Python.
- A solid understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- A genuine desire and interest to work within the dynamic field of computer networking and security.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- General knowledge of networking and security concepts.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and GitHub processes.
- An understanding of SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) output.
