Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Quantum Data Center Engineering Intern, you will:
- Learn about the structural and mechanical infrastructure supporting a Quantum System
- Work hands-on with specialized equipment in a lab/datacenter environment
- Utilize software design tools to design and implement hardware components
- Apply AutoCAD and other design software to create component designs
- Understand physical structures and their weight-bearing capacities along with cooling, water, and power needs
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, or a similar program
- Broad mechanical understanding with experience in CAD modeling, simulation, assembly, fabrication, and basic electrical systems
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Ability and motivation to work in a hands-on environment like labs or datacenters
