Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Product Manager Intern 2026, you will gain hands-on exposure to product lifecycle management. You will work closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to support product strategy, define user needs, and deliver valuable features across IBM’s offices in Austin, San Jose, and Lowell. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting product strategy and roadmap planning.
- Translating technical concepts such as APIs, ML models, and data flows into clear user stories.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and refine features.
- Using analytics and user feedback to assess product performance.
- Applying responsible and ethical AI practices.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, research activities, and design reviews.
- Communicating updates and findings to stakeholders.
Preferred Education & Qualifications
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, or PhD program with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2029. A strong understanding of product management principles, AI/ML concepts, and data workflows is preferred. Familiarity with Agile practices, responsibility in ethical AI, and excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required.
