Your Role And Responsibilities
The Product Designer II Vault Cloud works on IBM HashiCorp’s multi-cloud security platform, Vault. This product is used by some of the world's largest finance, healthcare, and technology companies. The role involves collaborating with designers, engineers, and product managers to execute high-priority roadmap initiatives in a distributed remote environment.
What We Do
The team designs and builds workflows to secure applications and protect sensitive data. By focusing on enabling developers and platform teams, they ensure that strong security practices are adopted and perfected.
What You’ll Do
You will be responsible for researching, defining, executing, and delivering high-quality designs for a complex security product. Working with IBM HashiCorp’s Helios Design System, you'll create user flows, mockups, prototypes and collaborate across distributed teams to enhance the product experience.
Your Roadmap to Success
First 30 Days: Learn IBM HashiCorp Design, understand Vault, and begin partnering with engineering and product teams on small projects.
First 90 Days: Understand Vault's place in the Secure product portfolio, conduct user studies, and deliver small to medium projects.
First 180 Days: Take on medium-scoped projects, build prototypes, and engage in design thinking workshops.
Required Qualifications
- Experience designing for complex technical and security products.
- Strong collaboration skills with a distributed remote team.
- Demonstrated problem solving and ownership in design work.
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with IBM HashiCorp products such as Terraform, Packer, Vagrant, Waypoint, Nomad, Vault, Boundary, and Consul is a plus.
