Job Description

Introduction

The Marketing & Communications Specialist role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive communications strategy across ES&I, Software TA, and TAC. The candidate will ensure consistent messaging internally and externally, support transformational initiatives, and amplify IBM’s brand presence through strategic storytelling and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications:

  • Manage communication channels including Slack, w3 pages, and internal emails.
  • Create and update internal branding materials according to TA Branding guidelines.
  • Maintain and develop internal branding publisher pages.
  • Deliver ES&I Insider newsletters and All Hands calls across multiple orgs.
  • Coordinate ExecStart and ExecEmpowerment Series monthly communications.
  • Develop and deliver enablement sessions on process changes, acquisitions integration, and new workflows.

External & Inclusion Initiatives:

  • Run inclusion programs like the “Inspiring Voices” podcast.
  • Produce Talent Radar newsletters and Fireside Chats.
  • Support executive blogs such as Executive Stories and New Executives Corner.
  • Collaborate on Leadership Lens posts with the Talent Marketing Team.
  • Track initiative amplification and reach for ROI evaluations.

Transformation Projects:

  • Lead communications for transformation initiatives across the three orgs.
  • Plan and execute comms strategies for executive interlocks with business leaders.

Branding & Talent Acquisition Partnership:

  • Collaborate with Talent Attraction to ensure brand consistency.
  • Align with B10 TA leadership for shared knowledge and collaboration.
  • Support monthly new executive announcements on LinkedIn and client-facing collateral.

Special Projects:

  • Respond promptly to executive leadership requests with strategic solutions.
