Your Role And Responsibilities

As the Quantum Developer Advocate Intern, you will be at the intersection of enablement, education, and community engagement. You will work with quantum researchers, software developers, and educators while supporting workforce development and community initiatives centered around IBM's quantum computing platform.

  • Collaborate with quantum researchers and developers.
  • Educate technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support community and workforce development initiatives.
  • Engage in IBM's quantum education and enablement strategy.
  • Translate complex quantum concepts clearly.

Preferred Education and Expertise

Applicants are expected to have a strong background in physics, chemistry, computer science, or similar fields. Proficiency in Python and Qiskit SDK is required along with an understanding of common quantum algorithms and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Technical Experience

Candidates with a general knowledge of superconducting qubits, familiarity with quantum error suppression techniques, and practical experience on IBM quantum devices will be given preference. Publications in quantum computational science are a plus.
