Your Role And Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Specialist System Administration at IBM, you will support and manage critical infrastructure across various industries. Your work involves defining technical architecture, scoping requirements into solutions, and collaborating across configuration, systems management, backup/recovery, and technical mentoring.
- Define, analyze, and review technical architecture and requirements.
- Configure systems management tools and backup/recovery processes.
- Provide technical mentoring and collaborate with delivery teams.
- Manage IBM MQ environments and troubleshoot issues.
- Support build, deployment, and performance of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Key activities include:
- Managing IBM MQ including administration, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Debugging shell scripts and Python programming.
- Handling SSL administration tasks like certificate renewal and monitoring.
- Configuring queue manager setups, load balancing, and security management.
- Working with AIX, Red Hat Linux, Windows servers, and Managed File Transfers.
- Leveraging experience in cloud platforms, CI/CD, and containerization tools.
