Your Role as Data Technical Sales Engineer
As a Data Technical Sales Engineer, you will work closely with clients and partners to develop strong relationships, understand client needs, and demonstrate how IBM's industry-leading solutions add value to their businesses.
- Manage dedicated client sets and define IBM’s Data value proposition.
- Employ solution-selling techniques and deliver proof of concepts.
- Build credibility and trust to close complex technology deals.
- Oversee sales process management with a focus on new business and expanding accounts.
Client Engineering Responsibilities
Begin your journey as an AI Engineer within Client Engineering, developing relationship-driven pilots and leveraging IBM’s Pilot Engineering Method. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver pilots and technical support, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Develop pilots to validate AI solutions.
- Collaborate with AI, platform engineering, and project management teams.
- Act as a technical contact during pilot deployments.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Candidates should hold a technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills. Proficiency in English and the local language is required. The role calls for strong teamwork and a drive to achieve positive business outcomes through data.
Preferred Experience
Some prior experience in Sales and/or IT is advantageous. IBM seeks dynamic, enthusiastic, and results-oriented individuals with a passion for AI and Data, who can both hunt for new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships.
