Introduction

IBM is seeking a Data Platform Architect, a Brand Technical Specialist within its Data & AI brand, to accelerate enterprises' success by turning data into actionable insights. This role involves selling industry-leading software and design practices that empower business analysts to create new questions and shape the future.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Brand Technical Specialist, you will:

  • Work closely with clients to develop strategies and build trust.
  • Define IBM Data & AI solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Provide educational support through proof of concepts and simplified explanations.
  • Establish credibility during complex Cloud technology engagements.

Key Characteristics

  • Provide technical sales support before and after sales engagements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years in technology sales and the Data & AI industry.
  • Expertise in Data, Data Fabric, Data Integration or Data Replication.
  • Familiarity with IBM Data Integration stack, including Cloud Pak for Data and DataStage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Business acumen paired with technical expertise.
  • Ability to proactively drive pipeline and close deals.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Understanding of competitive landscape in the Data & AI space.
  • Experience in a complex, matrix-managed organizational environment.
  • Capability to define innovative concepts and strategic solutions.
  • Strong project management skills and ownership of client success.
