Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer Data Platforms at IBM, you will harness data to reveal meaningful insights by gathering, storing, and processing both batch and real-time data. You will collaborate with diverse teams to select the best data management systems and identify crucial data for analysis. You will also address challenges in database integration and manage complex, unstructured data sets.
Responsibilities Include
- Implement and validate predictive models and statistical techniques.
- Design enterprise search applications like Elasticsearch and Splunk.
- Work in an Agile environment with scientists, engineers, and consultants.
- Develop programs to cleanse and integrate data efficiently.
- Migrate databases from Hadoop to GCP and implement data replication mechanisms.
- Lead discovery workshops and analyze non-functional requirements.
Preferred Education & Experience
Master's Degree is preferred. Excellent teamwork, communication skills and ability to explain technical details to diverse audiences are required. Experience in database conversion, modern migration techniques, and API data exposure is essential.
