Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Consulting Account Executive, you will play a critical role in the success of Hakkoda (now part of IBM) by leading, developing, and executing sales strategies for consulting services. You will establish, maintain, and grow relationships with key technology partners and clients across North America.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and enhance deep knowledge of Hakkoda’s consulting services and technical platforms in data and analytics.
- Continuously learn about industry trends, market competitors, and customer buying patterns.
- Establish strong working relationships with key partner software products and differentiate Hakkoda’s market positioning.
- Identify and qualify target accounts through calls, meetings, and workshops with appropriate Hakkoda experts.
- Manage a disciplined sales pipeline from lead to close by leveraging CRM tools and prospecting platforms.
- Represent Hakkoda and IBM in client meetings, industry events, and partner activities.
- Collaborate with partners to drive strategy, account planning, and market expansion.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Applicants should have 7+ years of technology product or consulting services sales experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, and a strong understanding of cloud, data, analytics, and business intelligence technologies. Proficiency in tools such as Google Apps, Slack, LinkedIn, and CRM systems (Hubspot preferred) is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing complex sales cycles are required.
Additional Information
The role can be performed from anywhere in the US. As of April 2025, Hakkoda has been acquired by IBM, and IBM will manage the recruitment process.
