Cloud Developer Intern

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Cloud Developer Intern, you will support IBM Cloud by researching and learning new Cloud related technology products and services. You will design and implement quick Cloud based prototypes, support CI/CD systems, and partner with various teams to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.

• Implement and automate infrastructure solutions for IBM Cloud products.
• Build and set up test automation and pipeline frameworks using OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Administer automated CI/CD systems and support development teams.
• Support compliance and security integrity across cloud environments.
• Develop monitoring and alerting systems for mission-critical services.

Preferred Education and Experience

Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields and possess prior project or internship experience in development, hardware, or testing.

Technical Proficiencies

Familiarity with various operating systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, Windows), virtualization technologies (Citrix Hypervisor, VMware vSphere), programming tools (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Go), infrastructure products (Active Directory, Ansible, Chef), container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), and monitoring tools (Zabbix, Splunk) is required.

Collaboration

Work closely with teams, managers, and program managers while supporting and escalating technical issues as needed.
