Your Role And Responsibilities
IBM Cloud platform offers a one-stop shop for cloud solutions including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS delivered via public, private, and hybrid models. As a Cloud Developer Intern, you will research and learn new cloud technologies, design and implement cloud-based prototypes, implement and automate infrastructure solutions, build test automation and pipeline frameworks (in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments), administer CI/CD systems, support compliance and security, collaborate across teams, and assist with technical escalation support.
Preferred Education
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Prior project or internship experience in development, computer hardware or testing. Strong verbal and written communication and a passion for technology and engineering are essential. IBM seeks growth-minded, team-focused, courageous, resourceful, and outcome-driven candidates.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
Experience and working knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Operating Systems: Ubuntu (Preferred), RHEL, CentOS, Windows Servers.
- Virtualization Technologies: Citrix Hypervisor (Preferred), VMware vSphere, Ubuntu KVM, etc.
- Programming Tools: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Go.
- Infrastructure Tools: Active Directory, Ansible, Chef, etc.
- Container Technologies: Kubernetes (Preferred), Docker.
- Monitoring Tools: Zabbix (Preferred), Splunk.
- Network and Storage Technologies.
- Collaboration Tools: ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub.
