Your Role as a Brand Technical Specialist - Data, AI & Automation
As a Technical Pre-Sales Specialist, you will act as a collaborative technical expert and trusted advisor. Your responsibilities include working with clients, IBM's broader sales teams, and Business Partners to deliver compelling value propositions, manage the sales cycle, and ensure successful adoption and consumption of IBM software. You will deeply understand clients' business and technical requirements within the current competitive landscape, leveraging your knowledge of IBM's product portfolio to create impactful solutions.
This position is based in Valencia, Spain, offered with a regular (permanent) contract, making it ideal for candidates willing to relocate or those already based in Spain. Professional proficiency in both German and English is mandatory, both spoken and written, as you will operate in an international environment, specifically supporting the Swiss market.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Technical Expertise: Take ownership as the technical expert within your team, demonstrating a strong grasp of IBM's offerings and their integration into modern IT architectures.
- Early Sales Cycle Support: Provide essential technical support during the initial stages of the sales cycle, including conducting discovery sessions, preparing and delivering demos, executing proofs of concept, and facilitating workshops that effectively showcase how IBM solutions address real-world use cases.
- Solution Design and Value Articulation: Comprehend clients’ business and technical requirements within the competitive landscape and translate them into value-driven solution proposals that clearly differentiate IBM's offerings.
- Collaboration with IBM Sales Teams and Partners: Work closely with IBM sales teams and Business Partners, utilizing digital tools and CRM systems to manage your territory, qualify and progress opportunities, and collaboratively develop winning strategies.
- Product Value Highlight: Clearly communicate and demonstrate the business value of IBM’s Data & AI software in comparison to alternative approaches, with a strong focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise:
- Strong technical foundation combined with a keen curiosity for emerging technologies.
- Pre-sales Expertise: Proven experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or consulting roles, involving collaboration with client subject matter experts to scope and demonstrate solutions.
- Consultative Sales: Demonstrated experience in consultative sales, adept at explaining complex products to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, both in writing and speaking.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, with a focus on utilizing data for informed decision-making and achieving positive business outcomes.
