Drive digital commerce forward. As a Senior Digital Commerce Consultant commercetools, you will help leading brands design efficient and scalable commerce solutions by connecting business requirements with technology. Join our team to transform complex demands into intelligent, future-proof platforms – from the discovery phase to go-live. This full-time role (40 hours/week) can be cross-location or fully remote from anywhere in Germany.

Your Responsibilities

• You apply state-of-the-art knowledge of commerce processes to advise clients, design and document workflows, and conduct fit-gap discussions around commercetools capabilities. This includes configuring, implementing, and integrating various solutions (e.g., payment, checkout, search).
• You lead the analysis and optimization of business processes based on commercetools, performing thorough evaluations to align client business requirements with efficient, scalable solutions.
• You collaborate with clients to define functional specifications, ensuring business needs are translated into practical and actionable requirements for commercetools-based implementation.
• You bring your expertise to the implementation phase, supporting both the development team and the client, ensuring functional requirements are met and the commercetools-based solution adds value to the client's business.
• You support the presales area by preparing offers, responding to requests for proposals (RfPs), and conducting workshops to identify business requirements and potential solutions.
• You conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions to empower clients to optimally utilize the implemented commercetools-based solution.
• Within IBM iX DACH, you stay up-to-date on industry trends, contribute to the development of internal best practices and training materials, and support the growth of consulting, sales, or technical colleagues.

Your Skills

• You have demonstrable experience with commercetools in an enterprise-level transformation context and comprehensive knowledge of e-commerce. You are familiar with trends, processes, and best practices (e.g., payment systems, checkout, search functions, product experience).
• You have practical experience supporting sales teams' presales activities, including responding to RfPs, creating offers, and solution design in e-commerce.
• You possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid foundation in e-commerce requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and the design and optimization of business processes for B2B, B2C, and other multi-party commerce models at an enterprise level.
• You are capable of advising clients through the entire project lifecycle, providing strategic guidance for process improvements and platform opportunities, while managing expectations, identifying opportunities, and enabling informed decision-making processes.
• You possess strong communication and presentation skills, proficient in moderating client workshops, meetings, and training sessions, bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• You are open to travel (up to 40%) to meet clients and collaborate with on-site project teams.
• You are fluent in English; German is an advantage. You can work in a dynamic, bilingual environment.
