We’re looking for a Specialist, Employee Communications, a natural storyteller who can turn complex business information into clear, inspiring and actionable communication. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two weeks are the same.
You’ll help deliver engaging, high impact communications that keep our Retail Insurance Australia teams informed, connected and ready for action. Working across major brands including NRMA, RACQ, RACV and CGU, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our people experience our brands and culture. This is a 14-month max-term full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Meanjin (Brisbane).
What You'll Do
- Own and deliver operational communications for frontline and distribution teams.
- Lead the weekly newsletter and maintain our SharePoint communication hub, ensuring content lands clearly and effectively.
- Turn complex business updates into simple, action-ready information our frontline can trust.
- Support other communications across the team as required.
- Contribute to the Retail in Action monthly newsletter, from writing to layout and Canva editing.
- Bring creativity to stretch projects such as employee engagement campaigns, sponsorship communications and internal marketing activations.
What You'll Bring
- 5–8 years’ experience in internal communications (flexible for strong talent, passion and creativity).
- Proven ability to deliver compelling internal communications within large, complex environments.
- Experience in business writing, content creation and translating complexity into clarity.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence advising business partners.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, manage deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Experience with newsletters, copy editing, and operational comms.
- Curiosity, creativity and courage to bring new ideas forward.
What We Offer
- Boosted superannuation with 13% as standard.
- 20 days annual leave + 5 days MyLeave (extra leave for what’s important to you).
- Work from home and many more flexibility options with myFlex.
- Up to 50% off personal insurance, including home and motor insurance.
- Partner discounts on private health insurance, tech & appliances, and many more.
- Access to LinkedIn Learning, the award-winning IAG Academy, study assistance and secondment opportunities.
