Overview

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is searching for an OTA Software Engineer to join the Over-the-Air (OTA) Operations Team. This role supports North American OTA Operations regarding vehicle software updates and telematics data analyses for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.

What You Will Do

Engage in diverse engineering projects ensuring robust and reliable software updates for North American production vehicles. Responsibilities include pre-production testing, post-production validation, field monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and collaboration with headquarters to deploy solutions.

• Conduct pre-production OTA testing and evaluation.
• Perform post-production update validation and field monitoring.
• Analyze VCRM data to develop dashboards and troubleshooting tools.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

What You Will Bring to the Role

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in software or related engineering discipline, experience in automotive or embedded product development, and familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, experience with automotive telematics, server architecture, cloud services, and knowledge of AUTOSAR, Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps practices.
