Project Manager Lead Construction

Overview

The Project Manager Lead Construction at Hyphen Connect is responsible for managing all aspects of 0-1 construction projects from initial site inspection to final delivery. This includes overseeing site evaluations, collaborating with architects and designers, preparing materials, hiring and managing a full project team, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Site Inspection and Planning: Conduct thorough site inspections, assess feasibility, and collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.

Design and Architecture Coordination: Work closely with architects and designers to develop project plans, blueprints, and specifications while ensuring compliance with budgets and regulatory requirements.

Material Preparation and Procurement: Identify, source, and procure high-quality materials, and manage supply chain logistics for timely project delivery.

Team Hiring and Management: Recruit, onboard, and lead a diverse team including contractors, engineers, and laborers with clear communication and accountability.

Project Execution and Oversight: Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams providing regular updates on status and milestones.

Travel and Site Management: Travel frequently to project sites across South America to oversee operations, conduct inspections, and address on-site challenges.

Qualifications

Candidate must have 5+ years of project management experience focused on 0-1 construction or development projects. Fluency in English is required and knowledge of Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is preferred. Must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, budgeting, and time-management skills alongside proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera. A valid driver’s license and passport for domestic/international travel is necessary.

Nice To Have

Experience in greenfield projects or emerging markets, familiarity with sustainable construction practices, and multilingual skills are a plus.
