Project Manager Lead - Construction Role Overview

The Project Manager Lead - Construction will manage all aspects of 0-1 construction projects, from initial site inspection to final delivery. This role involves overseeing site evaluations, collaborating with architects and designers, preparing materials, hiring and managing a full project team, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Inspection and Planning: Conduct thorough site inspections and plan project scope and deliverables.
  • Design and Architecture Coordination: Work with architects to develop project plans and specifications.
  • Material Preparation and Procurement: Source high-quality materials and manage logistics.
  • Team Hiring and Management: Recruit and lead contractors, engineers, and laborers.
  • Project Execution and Oversight: Develop schedules, manage budgets, monitor risks and ensure compliance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as primary contact for clients and vendors with regular updates.
  • Travel and Site Management: Travel frequently to South American project sites for inspections and management.

Qualifications

Required experience includes 5+ years in project management focused on 0-1 construction or development projects. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, budgeting, time management, and proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera. A valid driver’s license and passport are also required for domestic and international travel.

Nice To Have

Experience with greenfield projects, emerging markets, sustainable construction practices, and multilingual skills are a plus.
