Overview

The Project Manager - Construction Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of 0-1 construction projects from site inspection to final delivery. This role involves overseeing site evaluations, collaborating with architects and designers, preparing materials, hiring and managing a full project team, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Inspection and Planning: Conduct thorough site inspections, assess feasibility, and define project scope with stakeholders.
  • Design and Architecture Coordination: Collaborate with architects and designers to develop blueprints and ensure regulatory and budget alignment.
  • Material Preparation and Procurement: Source and procure high-quality materials and manage supply chain logistics.
  • Team Hiring and Management: Recruit, onboard, and lead a diverse project team including contractors, engineers, and laborers.
  • Project Execution and Oversight: Develop detailed schedules, budgets, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams providing regular updates.
  • Travel and Site Management: Travel frequently to project sites across South America to oversee operations and resolve on-site challenges.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in project management focused on 0-1 construction projects. Must be fluent in English with preference for Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin). Proven track record in delivering projects from inception to completion, strong leadership skills, excellent organizational and budgeting abilities, proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera or similar), in-depth knowledge of construction processes, and a valid driver’s license and passport for domestic/international travel.

Nice To Have

Experience with greenfield projects or emerging markets, familiarity with sustainable construction practices, and multilingual abilities.
