Overview

The MEV Developer role at Hyphen Connect involves designing, developing and optimizing backend systems for MEV infrastructure and trading solutions on a MEV Powered Staking platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable backend systems for MEV-related infrastructure such as transaction ordering, bundle processing and block-building pipelines.
  • Develop and optimize MEV searchers, trading strategies and block-building algorithms to maximize on-chain value extraction.
  • Collaborate with blockchain engineers to integrate MEV solutions with existing protocols and layer-1/layer-2 networks.
  • Monitor and analyze on-chain data to identify new MEV opportunities and improve system performance.
  • Ensure high reliability, low latency, and security of MEV infrastructure components.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of backend programming experience in Rust and/or C++ for low-latency, high-performance systems.
  • Experience with MEV infrastructure companies or MEV trading/searching/block-building firms.
  • Deep understanding of blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Solana) and MEV mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, consensus algorithms, and mempool management.
  • Strong grasp of MEV strategies including front-running, back-running and sandwich attacks.
  • Ability to optimize systems for performance and cost-efficiency in dynamic blockchain environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
