Financial Controller Digital Assets US GAAP

About the Role

Hyphen Connect is hiring a Financial Controller Digital Assets US GAAP for a key client in the FinTech space. This role oversees all accounting functions and involves responsibility for SEC filings, digital asset accounting, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
• Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Produce timely monthly financial statements.
• Manage regulatory reporting processes and investigate technical accounting issues.
• Facilitate month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting and tax requirements.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
• Perform additional controller responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of combined accounting/finance experience with US GAAP expertise.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller in financial services or crypto.
• Familiarity with US/HK Capital Market deals such as IPO, M&A, and fundraising.
• Expertise in SEC filings and team leadership during transformational changes.
• Experience in SOX compliance and corporate restructuring or regulatory transitions.
• Knowledge of digital asset accounting and auditing standards.
• Successful track record in high-growth or startups with a proactive approach.
