Job Purpose and Summary
The Field Sales Representative - Northeast Ohio position requires proactive soliciting of industrial distribution-based sales within an assigned geographic territory or book of accounts. The goal is to increase sales and profit for Isaacs Fluid Power Equipment Company and its authorized principals and suppliers by providing product and service information, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional customer support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pursue and secure appointments with new and existing customers.
- Present product information and articulate the benefits to customers.
- Utilize internal resources to resolve customer issues and develop quotes.
- Overcome sales objections and position products favorably against competitors.
- Maintain and update customer relationships through regular communications and account plans.
- Coordinate internally with teams to deliver timely reports and stay current on product knowledge.
Competencies and Measurements
Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical and mechanical aptitude, and proficiency in computer operations are required. Sales metrics include growth, margin goals, customer feedback, and CRM maintenance.
Working Environment and Requirements
This role typically demands an average of 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed. It involves independent work from the office, customer sites, or while traveling. A valid driver’s license and personal automobile are necessary.
