Job Purpose

The Field Sales Representative (Central & Southeast Ohio) position involves proactively soliciting industrial distribution-based sales from an assigned territory or book of accounts. The goal is to increase sales and profits for Isaacs Fluid Power Equipment Company and its authorized principals and suppliers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This role includes understanding customer needs, presenting product benefits, and using internal resources to solve customer problems. Responsibilities include:

  • Securing appointments with current and prospective customers.
  • Presenting fluid power products and services effectively.
  • Generating persuasive presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Managing internal systems and reporting results to management.
  • Maintaining and updating product knowledge and CRM systems.

Customer Relationship & Support

Establish and maintain trust-based relationships by offering exceptional customer service. Coordinate with internal departments and external principals to solve issues and leverage marketing opportunities.

Clerical and Administrative Duties

Perform routine tasks such as responding to emails, maintaining files, and processing quotes as required by company protocols.

Competencies & Measurements

Required competencies include strong communication (written and verbal), analytical skills, consultative selling ability, and technical proficiency with ERP and computer systems. Measurements include sales growth, margin goals, customer satisfaction and CRM accuracy.

Physical and Mental Demands

Ability to work independently while traveling to customer locations. Must be proficient with computers and capable of handling various physical tasks associated with sales visits.

Working Hours and Tools

Typically 40 hours per week with flexible hours for achieving sales goals. A valid driver’s license and personal automobile are required. Company-supplied tools include computers, phones, and safety equipment.

Requirements

High School diploma required (business degree preferred), three plus years of sales experience, and technical or mechanical aptitude.
