Environmental Construction Manager
HGL is seeking an experienced Construction Manager I to serve as a site manager/superintendent for environmental remediation and construction projects across the United States and its territories. This role involves managing field crews and subcontractors, interfacing with project managers and clients, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the construction manager/site superintendent for all work phases of remediation and construction projects.
- Manage field crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient operations and adherence to schedules.
- Lead meetings and interface with project managers, technical staff, and clients.
- Review and document completed work for compliance with project specifications.
- Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks related to schedule, quality control, and health and safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to travel at least 70% of the time.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Manager, Site Superintendent/Site Supervisor, or Quality Control Manager for environmental remediation projects.
- Experience with projects involving contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater under CERCLA and RCRA regulations.
- Experience with USACE, EPA, and other federally regulated remediation construction projects.
- Excellent communication, documentation, organization, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Current certifications: 40-hour HAZWOPER, 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety, USACE CQM-C, First Aid/CPR/AED.
