Role Overview
The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all front desk operations, including staff training, inter-departmental communication, and staff scheduling. You will provide direct leadership and support to the Guest Services Operators, Guest Services Bell, and Reservations teams. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential. This role involves responding promptly and courteously to guest requests and complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction through appropriate actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for short and long-term planning and management of the hotel’s Front Office operations.
- Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans, and objectives, managing within approved plans.
- Maintain guest room inventory.
- Coach and counsel colleagues to uphold Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures.
- Perform Front Office Staff tasks as needed to facilitate service.
- Ensure all operations and cash handling comply with policies and procedures.
- Maintain excellent communication with the housekeeping department.
- Stay informed on prices, rates, specials, packages, and programs, ensuring staff training in all areas.
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints.
- Create expectations, lead people, manage processes, and ensure accountability for agreed-upon activities and timelines.
- Ensure proper staffing levels to meet customer service goals.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience, preferably with Hyatt.
- Service-oriented with professional presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strengths include high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
