Overview

The Director of Events & Event Services, a member of the Executive Committee, is a highly visible role reporting directly to the General Manager. This role oversees overall Event Sales, Event Planning standards, and the Event Services Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage short and long term planning of Event Sales and Planning.
  • Develop budgets, marketing plans, and achieve individual and property Event goals.
  • Oversee and train Event Managers and administrative staff.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager and Chef to ensure exceptional event execution and creative menu offerings.
  • Maintain quality service standards while coaching and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least 6 years of progressive hotel event sales and planning experience, with a preference for those with experience in pre-opening hotels and prior experience with Hyatt. Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
