Job Description

Are you ready to shape the next generation of enterprise automation while keeping mission-critical workflows running smoothly?

As Tech Lead for the Automation Team, you will play a pivotal role in Husky’s transition from legacy workflow platforms to a modern, scalable automation landscape centered on the Microsoft Power Platform. You’ll lead by example—guiding your team in designing, governing, and delivering Power Apps and Power Automate solutions—while also ensuring the reliability, continuity, and evolution of existing automation solutions such as K2.

This role sits at the intersection of innovation and responsibility: driving modernization, setting technical standards, and mentoring engineers, while safeguarding the automation backbone that supports our global business operations.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership
  • Understand the E2E high level architecture (big picture)
  • Translate the HLD (high level design) into the LLD (low level design) in collaboration with architects and own the LLD
  • Technical direction for the product area
  • Contribute to coordinating cross-team dependencies and integration points
Delivery & Execution Excellence
  • Contribute to the feature definition and review
  • Generate concepts and facilitate the concept selection
  • Breaking down complex features into actionable tasks
  • Helping with estimation and sprint planning
  • Addressing technical impediments
  • Own production readiness (incl. non-functional requirements)
Quality, Governance & Security
  • Ensuring quality
  • Conducting meaningful reviews and ensuring adherence to DoR (Definition of Ready) / DoD (Definition of Done) criteria
  • Ensure adherence to applicable standards, policies, and practices (e.g. DevSecOps)
Incident Response
  • Leading incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortems
Mentorship & Team Growth
  • Mentoring team members
  • Documenting key design decisions

  • Promoting engineering best practices and driving continuous improvement
Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact across Product, Architecture, and Platform teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 10+ years professional experience in software development, 5+ years’ experience with Power Platform
  • Power Platform Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including: Power Apps (Canvas & Model Driven), Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, error handling), Dataverse (data modeling, security, performance). Proven ability to design enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions. Strong understanding of solution layering, Application Lifecycle Management, and environment strategies.
  • Power Platform Governance: Hands-on experience implementing Power Platform governance, including DLP policies, environment strategies, Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit. Strong understanding of: Role-based security in Dataverse, Tenant-level Power Platform administration.
  • Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments (e.g., GDPR, ISO, SOC).
  • Azure & Microsoft Ecosystem: Solid experience in integrating Power Platform with Azure services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Entra AD) and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive). Experience with authentication and authorization: Entra AD, OAuth, service principals, managed identities.
  • DevOps & ALM: Proven experience with Power Platform ALM, including: Managed vs unmanaged solutions, Versioning and deployment strategies. Experience with: Azure DevOps or GitHub CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform, Automated testing strategies (where applicable). Familiarity with source control best practices for low-code assets.
  • Development & Customization Skills: Strong proficiency in: Power Fx, JavaScript (for model-driven apps). Understanding data modeling best practices and normalization. Experience working with web services / APIs (e.g., SOAP, REST).
  • Working knowledge of Agile development practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing assignments, and priorities.
