The Opportunity: Director of Engineering, Endpoint Detection and Response
Huntress is seeking an experienced leader to elevate their Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) teams and deliver purpose-built products for businesses of all sizes. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading teams that develop Huntress's flagship EDR product, which is fundamental to defeating hackers and defending the 99%. This position calls for a passionate, inclusive engineering leader who can implement state-of-the-art engineering practices and bring deep experience in developing both teams and individuals to accelerate Huntress's next phase of growth. The EDR product is cutting-edge, and they need an exceptional leader to drive its continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver performant, scalable products iteratively, balancing incremental customer value with long-term product evolution.
- Drive the technical roadmap and best practices for EDR solutions to ensure scalability for rapid growth and increased user demand.
- Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent, building a strong and capable team.
- Hire and coach engineering managers to foster and enable high-performing teams.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance conversations for ICs and leaders to cultivate a high-performing engineering culture.
- Identify and implement improvements in both product development and engineering practices to optimize efficiency, quality, and time-to-market.
- Partner effectively with other engineering leaders, product leaders, and architects to ensure team and technology alignment and deliver significant customer value.
- Collaborate closely with Huntress’s Architecture, Product Management, and Threat Operations teams to integrate their expertise and needs into product development.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership, specifically building SaaS products within a modern SaaS environment.
- 3+ years of experience at the Director level or higher.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of best practices for scalable delivery of on-premise software agents.
- Proven ability to develop, evolve, and maintain high-volume, scalable solutions.
- Deep understanding of organizing engineering teams for iterative customer value delivery, with experience in various methodologies such as hypothesis-driven development, Shape Up, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Skilled in hiring, team building, leading, coaching managers, and performance management.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with architecture and product management leaders to develop and execute a shared product and technical vision.
- Experience thriving in a fully remote work environment.
- *Helpful but not required:* Experience working with high-volume data ingest platforms.
