Role Overview

The Cybersecurity Advisor vCISO acts as an embedded consultant for high-value accounts. You will serve as the primary technical and strategic liaison, ensuring clients maximize value from the Huntress Platform while aligning with their broader business and security objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity & Strategic Advisory: Provide technical and strategic consulting including executive briefings and quarterly business reviews.
  • Technical Health & Proactive Engagement: Review accounts to identify issues and ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Security Incident Liaison: Lead communications during critical security incidents between partners and the SOC.
  • Security Consulting & Training: Facilitate advanced training, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.
  • Go-to-Market Enablement: Support account teams with POCs, tailored demos, and strategic sales support.
  • Product Advocacy: Act as a liaison to influence product roadmap based on partner feedback.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Huntress at conferences and industry events, and lead executive roundtables.
  • Internal Updates: Provide quarterly account updates for executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in consultative, pre-sales or cybersecurity roles with enterprise accounts.
  • Experience with MSPs and deep technical knowledge of adversary tactics.
  • Familiarity with security technologies including EDR, SIEM, SOAR, cloud platforms, and IAM.
  • Proven communication skills with experience presenting to C-level and technical teams.
  • Public speaking experience and capability to lead training sessions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in malware, threat intelligence, or sandbox analysis.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Prior experience as a security consultant or vCISO.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, GCIH, CCSP).
