About the Role: Infrastructure Support Engineer
As an Infrastructure Support Engineer at a leading Quant Fund, you will be instrumental in building and operating mission-critical platform infrastructure. This role emphasizes modern DevOps practices to ensure high performance and reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, scale, and automate essential systems.
A core part of your responsibility will be to develop CI/CD pipelines and self-service workflows, all geared towards significantly improving developer productivity and enhancing the overall engineering experience within the firm.
Key Responsibilities and Attributes:
- Observability: Implement and manage robust monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems to ensure platform health.
- Scheduling & Orchestration: Manage High-Performance Computing (HPC) and container orchestration for demanding high-compute workloads.
- Developer Tools: Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, artifact management, and various developer platforms.
- Middleware: Manage critical middleware components including messaging systems, service discovery, and load balancing solutions.
- Databases: Work with diverse database systems, including relational, NoSQL, and time-series databases.
- Automation: Drive infrastructure automation, configuration management, and the development of self-service capabilities.
