Head of Infrastructure
My client, a stealth startup trading firm with an existing elite team, is looking for an individual to manage their Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a broad purview across cross-platform infrastructure (Windows, Mac, Linux) and will have worked in a trading environment previously. The organization is scaling, and the role will involve a lot of project work, building systems, and liaising with third parties. Someone who has helped build infrastructure in the early days of a fund and seen it through the scaling phase to completion would be ideal.
Responsibilities:
- Owning IT, Security, and AI tooling in a fast-growing startup.
- Liaising with vendors and making decisions on tooling, APIs, and AI.
- Setting security policies and driving AI adoption.
- Managing an MSP that handles day-to-day operations.
- Understanding of financial regulations.
Skills:
- Strong experience working in an IT leadership position within trading.
- Strong understanding of IT, Cyber, and Infrastructure Security.
- Experience working with third parties and vendors.
- Experience working in a cross-platform environment (Windows, Mac, Linux).
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Understanding of AWS is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IaC / CI/CD.
